Can someone help me with linear relationships ?
question?
@atreyu6s3x6 For gym A you will pay $100 for 3 months and $160 for 5 months for gym B you will pay based on the equation y=$20+25m, where y is the total cost, and m is the number of months you pay for. Part A: Which gym charges a higher set fee ? Part B: Which gym chargers a higher rate per month ?
okay.. so for the first gym.. we pay 100 dollars for 3 months and 160 for 5 months and we need to find which gym has a higher fee so.. to find that we use the equation to find the total for the second gym
Well you know that $100 is required for 3 months and we have an equation for gym B and m is per month so to see which charges higher we can input 3 where m is and see which one charges more for 3 months.... \(\large{y~=~$20~+~25(3)}\)
so y=$20+25m where y is the total and m is the months.. so we need to find out how much the gym charges for 3 months..(m=3) so we plug in 3 months for m

ghost explained it, simply solve
Okay, I solved and I got $95
great job
Correct ^^ So which is more gym A or gym B?
Um..... gym A
\(\Large{Correct!~:)~Great~Job!}\)
Did we just solve for Part B ?
I believe so..
Part A asks which gym charges a higher set free
@atreyu6s3x6 can you help me with part A ?
dang she jus left you haha welll then shall we finish this? :D
yeah lol
so what does it mean by set fee? do you know?
I'm not sure if I'm right but I'm guessing it means the amount of money you'll have to pay in order to go to the gym @atreyu6s3x6
hmm maybe the flat rate? i'm actually a little unsure
ghost, do you know?
sorry my internet is horrible...
no we got B.. we're trying to figure out what they mean by set fee for A
oops...i read it backwards...
no problem, but yea, that's where we're stuck
one sec let me look at some examples....
i think we're making this a little more complicated than it has to be haha give me a sec?
yeah :)
Sorry I dont really know...
It's okay
Thanks for you help though :) I really appreciated it
^^
