Write a polynomial function in standard form with the given zeros. 1. x = -1, 3, 4

OpenStudy (elite):

ok, you have a zero of-3,-7,-2i, and 2i right? so you set the zero like this X=-3,X=-7,X=-2i,X=2i add them both side, expect the postive 2i is subtract to the x (x+3)(x+7)(x+2i)(x-2i)

OpenStudy (elite):

ANS. (x+3)(X+7)(X^2+2)

OpenStudy (joshoyen):

hmm on my paper it says the answer is \[y = x^3 -6x^2 + 5x + 12\]

OpenStudy (joshoyen):

@elite ?

OpenStudy (elite):
