Pre Calc Question! Find the domain of this question: g(x) = x+1/x^2-1

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

1) Have you considered writing it correctly so that the Domain is NOT \(x\ne 0\)? 2) Have you considered factoring the denominator?

OpenStudy (amity):

X^2-1 must not equal to zero so domain is R-{1,-1} R is the set of all real numbers

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

You wrote this x + 1 / x^2 - 1 = \(x + \dfrac{1}{x^{2}} - 1\). I'm guess that's nto what you meant. Some parentheses will help.
