Good work.  

Next time, try checking by multiplying your factors back together to see whether that produces the original dividend.  In the 2nd problem, multiply (x+6) by (2x + 7), and then subtract 1 (the remainder is 1).

so for #2 my quotient is correct but its remainder 1 not -1? @mathmale
