In what way did World War I affect women's suffrage in the United States? The fact that women in other Allied countries were allowed to vote helped women in the United States win the vote. The contributions of women to the war effort at home and overseas helped women in the United States win the vote. Wartime protests demanding women's suffrage were considered un-American and delayed women winning the vote. The overall war effort became the country's first priority, and calls for women's suffrage were put on hold until the war ended. ITS NOT D
