Read the passage. Knowing that Mrs. Mallard was afflicted with a heart trouble, great care was taken to break to her as gently as possible the news of her husband’s death. Based on this initial information about Mrs. Mallard, how do others perceive her in “The Story of an Hour” by Kate Chopin? as weak as eccentric as opinionated as unhappy

sorry today is busy but i have time for one question :) okay let me see

OpenStudy (batmano3):

well what does the tone feel like to you when you read this?

OpenStudy (abbiegalie):

Hey :) I think this would be weak. If Mrs. Mallard's has heart problems and that is why they feel they need to tell her the news gently, then they most likely view her as weak, or fragile.
