You’re the Dodgers’s new home run hitter. Your job is to hit the ball over a fence which is a distance D away and extends a height H above where the ball is hit. For a given angle 2 calculate the speed with which the ball must be hit, v0, in order to go over the top of the fence. After you compute the function, qualitatively sketch what the graph looks like on the provided axes. (Note that the vertical axis is that initial speed squared so that you don’t need to do an unnecessary square root.) Make sure to note any special angle or angles.
