they help conduct photosynthesis by absorbing sunlight and use it in conjunction to absorb water and sunlight to make food for the plant :D

Why do you think the processes of photosynthesis and respiration are interrelated?

photosynthesis is mainly happening on the inside o the plant and respiration is the plant taking in oxygen and moving cells which happens on the outside of the plant although when the plant takes in oxygen the outside air moves through the tissues and moves carbon dioxide out of the opposite direction
