Someone please help I'll fan/medal. An isosceles trapezoid is a quadrilateral with two congruent legs and a pair of parallel bases. Prove the base angles of an isosceles trapezoid are congruent. Be sure to create and name the appropriate geometric figures. This figure does not need to be submitted.

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

The legs are congruent because this is an isosclees trapezoid. The other sides of the isoscles triangles are equal because they are both the height of the trapezoid, which of course, are equal to each other. And since two sides are equal to each other, the third side must also be. So the trianlges are congruent by SSS. And because of CPCTC, the base angles must be equal.
