OpenStudy (thatcooolswag):

10x + 60

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Incomplete

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can't solve it since you have to know x equals but we don't know it so you can't solve it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is incomplete since it should say 10x+60= ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there should be a number after the = sign!

OpenStudy (thatcooolswag):

that's all there was

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is strange then.. what math is this? what grade?

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

What is your question asking

OpenStudy (thatcooolswag):

7th

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am doing 7th grade math and there is no such thing as this..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

??????? now i am confused!

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

What does it say above that expression..."evaluate, simplify, find..."

OpenStudy (thatcooolswag):

Factor the following Expression

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

OK

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

So factor out the 10

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Can't really do much other than that, \[10x+60 \implies 10(x+6)\]

OpenStudy (thatcooolswag):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea sorry if we can't solve it or help you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can

OpenStudy (anonymous):

never mind

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you see the best response button @milk333 since that is the medal button if you didn't know and just trying to clarify it. If you click it you will give that person a medal.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

The factored form is what I have shown 10(x+6) we factored out a 10, you cannot simplify it anymore.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can only factor make it 10(x+6) which equals 10x + 60 but just divided by 10 and that is why the 10 is outside. It is there so that you can multiply it by 10
