 People can learn about government leaders and interest groups through the media. The person can join a candidate’s campaign and help organize rallies for the candidate. Voters should ask members of the media for advice on whom to vote for in an election. An active citizen can trust one media source for all their information about government.

Well, think of all the stuff that we see on TV. This is a form of media. So, right now one of the huge topics is Donald Trump going for president. Now, let's say someone knew some things about Donald Trump that could turn a lot of people against him. This person would use the media to get the biggest affect because so many people today are influenced by the media. 
You see it on TV or on Facebook. You learn about these things that the person has pointed out and it changes your opinion.
