I'll Fan/Medal. Compare the costs and benefits of fossil fuel energy to that of wind power. (Please include two costs and two benefits.)

OpenStudy (am0x0):

Costs 1.) Wind power cost a lot of tax money to construct and put up, not to mention that they have to use open land, that could potentially already be owned by someone 2.) If a wind turbine brakes or needs any kind of repairs it cost a fortune to replace or repair 3.) (This is silly and I'm not even sure if its accurate lol ) If for some reason there is not enough natural air movement and the turbines aren't able to spin. How are we suppose to generate electricity? Benefits 1.) Wind turbine farms take up a lot of space, and the majority of the time the city or state has to buy property off of a farmer or land owner in order to have the land for it. Let alone the fact that they use citizen's tax money to not only to pay for the land they're purchasing but the materials they need to build the turbine farms. 2.) They're quite noisy. If people live close or nearby a farm they're very loud because of the amount of motion and air movement they're creating, and can be quite disturbing. I've drove by quite a few of the large farms and had the radio on and the noise from the farms was louder than the radio. So imagine having to sleep with one of those in your backyard or down the street from you.
