OpenStudy (aihberkhan):

Yes. Can you paste the essay?

OpenStudy (babyx3boo):

High school days are OVER! Do you remember having to stay up all night during your high school years finishing an essay that was due within hours? So you would rush yourself trying to finish quickly because you wanted to get some sleep. After turning your paper in and being graded by your teacher you see your grade and it was not what you expected. When wanting to do things quick we tend to make mistakes and not realize it. Then we have to deal with some consequences, in this case a bad grade which is not acceptable in college unless you do not mind failing your class. A way to avoid mistakes such as writing a bad thesis, not citing your information, not checking for misspellings and word usage one should start their essay as quick as possible; as a result, one would have more time to spend on each section of your writing. A college level essay includes a well thought thesis. No more “In my essay, I will tell you..” one should elaborate on that thought and expand it. Within a well thought thesis, you will let your readers know what you will be informing them about in your writing in a clear and firm way. A thesis statement is important because it is the foundation of your essay. It basically constructs the outline of your essay. In addition, when supporting a thesis with evidence is a good way to go. One would show that you have done your research and took your time. Also, one should always cite the sources they have use if not it would count as plagiarism. Point in fact, a college level should contain a well thought thesis, good evidence/support and a work cited page. Misspellings, if out of 500 word 300 are misspelled that essay might just be an elementary essay. Taking time to go back and make sure your writing is worded correctly is a good thing, this is where a draft comes in handy. When typing fast one could press an extra letter or misplace a word, so checking back to see what you wrote looks and sounds good is very helpful. As in for word usage, sometimes people tend to use words that have different types of meaning. Using words like those, might confuse the reader so to make it less complex one could use simple words. For instance, some people call a twin a doppelganger but not everybody knows that is the meaning. Also, using figurative speech can make your writing more intriguing. Such as, using metaphors for rhetorical effect, similes to compare two different things, or hyperboles to be sarcastic.

OpenStudy (supremebookworm526):

I love what you did in paragraph 2! Just remember to back and check over your own spelling. :)

OpenStudy (babyx3boo):

Could you help me go over my spelling lol english is my second language so i'm really bad at checking cuz to me it all sounds good

OpenStudy (supremebookworm526):

Haha, sure! Paragraph One Alters- > After turning in your paper and it being graded by your teacher, you see your grade was not what you expected. >Then we have to deal with some consequences. In this case, a bad grade. A bad grade in college is not acceptable unless you do not mind failing your class. >One way to avoid mistakes such as writing a bad thesis, not citing your information, or not checking for misspellings and word usage, is one should start their essay as soon as possible; as a result, one would have more time to spend on each section of their writing.

OpenStudy (supremebookworm526):

That is just some grammatical and spelling things I fixed in the first paragraph. You can look and see what I think you should change there.

OpenStudy (supremebookworm526):

Paragraph 2 looks nice, I don't see anything wrong with it.

OpenStudy (supremebookworm526):

Paragraph 3 alters- >Misspellings, for example if out of a 500 word essay 300 words are misspelled that essay would be an elementary level essay. > As in for word usage, sometimes people tend to use words that have different types of meanings. >Using words like those, might confuse the reader so to make it less complex, one could use simple words. For instance, some people call a twin a 'doppelganger'; but not everybody knows what a 'doppelganger' is.

OpenStudy (supremebookworm526):

Those are the only things I see that really need to be fixed. :)

OpenStudy (babyx3boo):

Thank you very much! :)

OpenStudy (supremebookworm526):

You're Welcome! :)

OpenStudy (babyx3boo):

Now for the third paragraph i wanted to talk about how time defines a college level essay. It would take more time and effort than a high school essay. since in my thesis statement i was talking about that. do you think that's a good idea?

OpenStudy (supremebookworm526):

Very much so. You definitely want to include that since it's in your thesis statement. :)

OpenStudy (supremebookworm526):

Don't forget to close this question :)

OpenStudy (babyx3boo):

Alright I'm going to open another question, because i need help and ideas on how to start that paragraph before i go to work. would you mind helping me with that?

OpenStudy (babyx3boo):

I just realize i posted this in the math section.. wow im crazy lol

OpenStudy (supremebookworm526):
