Hair like onyx in firelight, eyes scarlet, smoldering coals of malevolence. Tall and graceful, his slightest motion was an art-form that dazzled the visual senses. A preternatural silence and strength surrounded him, a man of dangerous intent and means. He was dressed in the height of tasteful, understated fashion, impressive without being flamboyant. He made no sound at first, nor gave a signal that I saw, but his intent was clear: this night would end in terror.
