This is the phase diagram for water. Both the X and the Y axis are logarithmic scales. So the scale itself is compressed from a normal number line scale. This diagram can be used to determine the temperature at which water boils at a specific location when atmospheric pressure is known. 1. At what temperature did the water boil in this experiment? If the water did not boil at exactly 100°C, explain why not. Use the word pressure in your answer. If the water did boil at exactly 100°C, explain why.
