The first step I would take would be to create a thesis statement. Then I would look for information the supports my thesis statement, and some against for a counter claim search the internet for information for information on endangered species. I would then, narrow the information and decide if the information is creditable and true or if it is bias or for false advertisement.

Now, things you could add:
After I've found some credible information, I would then start to create an outline for my paper. I would then start to draft the paper. Finally, I would revise and finish my final draft.
