You'll have to show your work. Have you been assigned a group to work with?
nope
your answer for part (a) is ok. can you do the next step ?
Divide by 2 2x/2 = x 90/2 = 45 Where does that leave us? Rule of thumb. Never just answer a question. Answer the question AND show your work.
im stuck??
first, write down your relation from step a.
I dont knwo how do it! :(
you have an answer for part a. write it here.
2x =< 90 (Because there's 2 tests, and x represents the time).
ok. now "do the same thing" to each side. In this case, do what tk suggested up above: divide each side by 2 (that means draw a line under each side, then put a 2 underneath) then simplify
4x = 10
the first step is draw a line underneath and put in a 2. It will look like this \[ \frac{2x}{2} \le \frac{90}{2} \]
tk showed how to simplify each side (up above) but you should know what 2/2 is , right ? and what is 90/2 ?
um 1 and 45
ok , that means you have \[ 1\cdot x \le 45 \] and 1 times x is x , so you can write it like this \[ x \le 45\]
ok
that is the answer to part b
ok
for part c, pick a spot on the number line and label it 45 (I would do it near the middle at one of the little tick marks) then label a few tick marks on each side. can you do that ?
um no i can the paper dosent let me
Can you label the paper ?
nope just right in a box
It sounds like they want you to draw on the number line.
i cant I swear
Then you will have to ask your teacher how to answer this part of the question.
why um i can do it like this it dosent matter i swear On the number line, place a solid dot at 80. Also place solid dots at 100, 120, 140.
i can do it like that
I would put a dot at 45 and then show an arrow on the 45, but pointing toward the smaller numbers
okay
that is for part C?
yes
any thoughts for part d ?
yup i suck at this part i really suck
First, read the question. what are we trying to figure out ?
Write 1-2 sentences to explain what the solution to the inequality represents for this situation.
I meant up top, about Janine
Janine has two important tests to study for. If she plans to divide her study time equally between both tests, how long should she spend studying for each test if she wants to study for at most 90 minutes?
yes, but don't cut and paste. Write down (as simply as you can), the question.
what do you mean
what you cut and pasted up above is the "complicated" version of the question. Can you write down a simple version of the question ?
no????????
Try
i just cant I"m nervous and mad right know is that at 6:00 I have meetthing i'm jw so I"m late
