@jhonny9
tan?
are you trying to find the area?
No, the missing measurement
oh, which one?
CAH
so you know two sides. do you know how to find an angle by the side or a side by an angle?
Yes, I think I would use tan.
to find the angle
alright, well i'll explain it an easier way. As you can see that one of the angles is 90 degrees and the side opposite of the angle is 45 cm or whatever. so that means the side is half of the angles degrees.
Alright.
so if you have that you just do the opposite to get an angle. so the angle that is opposite of 12, what would you get?
\[\cos ?=\frac{ 12 }{ 45 }\]
74 degrees
no, you would have to multiply it by 2 which is 24. You know what all the inside angles of a triangle adds up to right?
Yes.
alright so you have two of the angles and that's all you need to get the third. Go ahead and see if you can do it, if not i will still help
74.53 degrees is correct.
75
@surjithayer i thought you couldn't just give the answer?
you have not seen my hint above and he has solved and gave the answer as 74 degree and he may have omitted decimal part.
for nearest tenth it is 74.5 degrees.
cool
