A dealer mixed some coffee worth 80 cents per pound with coffee worth 50 cents per pound to make a mixture to be sold for 70 cents per pound. If the number of pounds of 80 cent coffee was 10 mor than the number of pounds of the 50 cent coffee, how many pounds of each kind did he use?

OpenStudy (angel_kitty12):

I got some of the problem. I set up two equations..unsure if I did it right though .80x+.50y=.70 (kinda confused with this one) And X=y+10

OpenStudy (angel_kitty12):

Algebra 2 by the way

OpenStudy (angel_kitty12):

No the equation is .80x+.50y=.70(X+y)
