yes. so you need to find the domain of the function. do you know what that means?

well, the domain is all the allowable values of \(x\). the range is all of the values of \(f(x)\) are there any values of \(x\) which we cannot use? an example might be one that causes \(f(x)\) to have an undefined value, like you might get dividing by \(0\), for example.
