OpenStudy (atianaaaa):

How did the Miller-Urey experiment impact the way scientists think about the origins of life?

OpenStudy (hectoroftroy):

They put a lot of simple inorganic molecules that are obviously not alive and not produced by organic systems - like methane gas - which were present in the earth's early stages. They zapped it with a lot of electricity and energy, also thought to be present in abundance in earth's early stages. They got out more complex molecules that are present in basic biologic systems. That should be helpful.
