TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

So for the first question, let's plot the point. Do you know where the point would be? We need to figure out which quadrant it is in :)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

why not just plot the point for the first one? :) and do the same for the 2nd one too and see where they're at, and what shape :)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Can you plot the point (1.5,-0.5) ? |dw:1455146146087:dw|

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Not quite. We have a positive 1.5 That means we have to go 1.5 on to the x-axis we have a negative 0.5 in the y-coordinate. That means we have to go down 0.5. |dw:1455146374405:dw| So our point is where the green dot is :)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Do you understand that? :)

jabez177 (jabez177):

Okay, first you need to find the X-Axis first so for the X-Axis it is 1.5, not -1.5 Basically it's 1 and a half.

jabez177 (jabez177):

So first we find the 1 and we put the dot in between 1 and 2 because the number is 1.5
