OpenStudy (kayleahjb):

Which of the following can be used to prove that triangle EFG is also a right triangle? (1 point) Prove that the sum of a and c is greater than b. Prove that the sum of a and b is greater than c. Prove that triangles are congruent by SSS property and hence, angle EGF is equal to angle KML. Prove that the ratio of EF and KL is greater than 1 and hence, the triangles are similar by AA postulate.

OpenStudy (kayleahjb):

I think its C

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

why C anyway?

OpenStudy (kayleahjb):

It was the one that made the most sense

OpenStudy (kaitlyn_nicole):

Well, lets cross them out; A and B have nothing to do with finding out of it is a right triangle or not. D is wrong because AA postulate says that the triangles are SIMILAR, not congruent. SSS is a postulate that proved that they were congruent, so the angle is congruent to the other triangle due to the CPTCT postulate (corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent)
