The circle graph shows the breakdown of Jada's college tuition and fees. Using what you know about angle relationships, find the central angle measure for the section of the graph that represents Jada's room expenses. Round your answer to the nearest whole number. A) 36° B) 46° C) 72° D) 92°

Help Plzzzzzzzzz

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

We know that a circle is equal to 360 degrees. Each of the sections in the pie chart has coefficients/variable/number that would all equal to 360 degrees because they are part of the circle Transportation - x Books - 14.4 Board - 1.6x Room - 2x Tuition - (since it is 50% we know that the coefficient that would represent this is 5x. also note how for, as an example, the room--since it consumes 20% of the circle--equals to 2x, we can state that 50% can be 5x) so \(x + 14.4 + 1.6x + 2x + 5x = 360\)

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

find out what x is equal to and once you get that see what we need to do to find the degree of the room (2x) and plug the value of x where x belongs in 2x to get your answer.

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

did you get your answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i get it im just confused about the answer , thanks at first i was lke wth is this stuff
