I got 0.189036?

OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):

how?

OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):

it should be -18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

−2.3−2 =−2.3−2 =−1*2.3−2 =−1* 1 2.3*2.3 =−0.189036

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know its not correct though because the computer won't accept a decimal in my answer...

OpenStudy (mathwizzard3):

I thought that was a dot for multiplying not a decimal XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks mathwizzard3....can you show me so I know how for other ones? It is a dot to multiply

It said -18 is incorrect? The answer that you submitted, −18, is incorrect. It appears as though you have forgotten to apply the Negative Exponent Rule. Because the exponent given in the problem is negative, the Negative Exponent Rule must be applied, and some of the final answer belongs in the denominator of a fraction.
