Iron has a density of 7.9 g/cm3. What is the mass of a cube of iron with the length of one side equal to 55.0 mm?

OpenStudy (matt101):

55 mm is 5.5 cm. If the length of one side of the CUBE is 5.5 cm, the volume is 5.5 x 5.5 x 5.5 = 166.375 cm^3. You also know that density = mass/volume. You now have the volume, and the question gives you the density, so you can use this information to find the mass!
