suggestion: i think a proper list of all the tutorials must be made for easy reference and usage!

OpenStudy (decarr432):

Another user has done this before but I do believe the question is closed is all

OpenStudy (frostbite):

It simply confirm the wish of such an function, the only current available tool is just to search on google and hope you hit something eventually. A poor way of doing it I might add.

OpenStudy (hectoroftroy):

It is a great suggestion and a lousy way of organising the site. The question of tutoring vs tutorials has come up for years. The feeling is that OS will confine itself to the live tutoring. Confine itself to a limited, achievable focus. The feeling of some of the mods and other experienced tutors is that providing a platform for tutorials: 1. Would save the site's experts a lot of very basic work explaining the same thing over and over and over and over. Thus freeing us to answer more specialised questions for more advanced learners. 2. Get learners used to trying to answer their own questions before laying them on other people. Eventually - people have to do that in life, the sooner they start the better. In what contexts and respects is bowtie a better aligner than bwa? Any takers? 3. Provide the tutors with a way of broadening their own teaching skills. Tutor retention is a prob. Bluntly, the smart people get bored doing 8th graders homework. It has all been said before.

OpenStudy (hannah_rocks):

There is a list of all the tutorials made. I dont remember the link. Ill see into it @priyar

OpenStudy (frostbite):

@Hannah_Rocks I only think it covers "the best" ones.

OpenStudy (frostbite):

@Hannah_Rocks or rather: the best monthly ones.

OpenStudy (hannah_rocks):

Still, there is a list of tutorials that were made each month

OpenStudy (frostbite):

Hmmm might be, haven't been notified about anything regarding my own working.

hartnn (hartnn):

http://openstudytutorials.weebly.com

OpenStudy (priyar):

but i don't think this covers all the tutorials..for ex: it doesn't have the tutorial on thermodynamics...

OpenStudy (frostbite):

I think it might due to me not having signed it up. :)

OpenStudy (athecool):
