Well, to be frank. There is more than one idea that is used from the Roman empire. Leaders have to be 35 and over. We elect our leaders to represent us. And Leaders we elect make the laws that benefit us. But, if you can only have one answer, I'd go with the Leaders represent
I believe that it is Leaders represent citizens, becase one white men that owned land could run or vote. They would then go onto a jury of government and vote, representing the people that they voted for, and trying their best to stick with what they said.
