Initially a pool contains 350 gallons of water. A hose is placed in the pool and the water is turned on. The hose adds 5.2 gallons of water per minute. Model the total amount, V, of water in the pool for x, the number of minutes the hose has been on. A) V(x) = 5.2x B) V(x) = 350x - 5.2 C) V(x) = 350x + 5.2 D) V(x) = 5.2x + 350

5.2 needs to be multiplied by x since it's being added every minute. :)

lets calculate it for minutes - 1 minute - 5.2 gallon will be added 2 minute - 5.2*2 = 10.4 gallons will be added 3 minutes - 5.2*3 = 15.6 gallons will be added . . x minutes - 5.2*x will be added initially pool has 350 gallons and in x minute it will have 350 + 5.2x
