Model the total amount, V, of water in the pool for x, the number of minutes the hose has been on. A) V(x) = 5.2x B) V(x) = 350x - 5.2 C) V(x) = 350x + 5.2 D) V(x) = 5.2x + 350

What do you think the answer is?

OpenStudy (kamibug):

5.2 needs to be multiplied by x since it's being added every minute. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lets calculate it for minutes - 1 minute - 5.2 gallon will be added 2 minute - 5.2*2 = 10.4 gallons will be added 3 minutes - 5.2*3 = 15.6 gallons will be added . . x minutes - 5.2*x will be added initially pool has 350 gallons and in x minute it will have 350 + 5.2x
