Which number is a solution of the inequality? 8

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Plug in each value of x into that equation. See if the inequality still holds.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8<2(7-2) 8<2(5) 8<10 So 2 is correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. g+3>6 3** 4 -3 -4 2. y>1.9 -9 -2 2 1.9

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Yes. So 2 is right as the inequality holds!

@AravindG

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you! I'm not sure about the other two

OpenStudy (aravindg):

3+3>6 No! 3+3=6 not greater. So false.

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Try 4.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But wouldn't you subtract 3 from both sides? g+3>6 -3 -3 g>3 meaning that g is greater than 3.
