According to the declaration of independence, why do the colonists have the right to declare independence?

This is trick answer. We separated from Britain because of the forefathers were under Tyranny. And they put it in there because they knew they were going to die at some point and someone would eventually abuse their power. So, they put in we have the right to declare independence, to avoid being under rule like from Britain.
