OpenStudy (briannabug):

Am I right? Pic is below @iGreen

OpenStudy (briannabug):

OpenStudy (igreen):

No..the formula to find the area of a triangle is: \(\sf A = \dfrac{1}{2}bh\) You only multiplied the base times the height, you didn't multiply 1/2.

OpenStudy (briannabug):

so if I do 1/2 * 224 = 62? will that be the right answer?

OpenStudy (igreen):

You multiplied incorrectly.

OpenStudy (briannabug):

..... How?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Multiply 1/2 * 224 again..it does not equal 62.

OpenStudy (briannabug):

Ok I got 112.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yes, that's our answer.

OpenStudy (igreen):

\(\sf A = \dfrac{1}{2}bh\) \(\sf A = \dfrac{1}{2}(16)(14)\) \(\sf A = 112in^2\)

OpenStudy (briannabug):

Ok. Thanks again!!!

OpenStudy (igreen):

No problem.
