Atsie (atsie):

Some step by step explanation would be so appreciated! ^-^ Do I write this out in word form, or do I just show my work? (problem attached below)

Atsie (atsie):

OpenStudy (vijeya3):

umm..i think u can solve it out directly...no need to write the theory until it has been asked of u....

OpenStudy (vijeya3):

is this what ur question was?

Atsie (atsie):

Half of it, yes of the question. But the next part is how do I step by step solve it and then apply to the question?

OpenStudy (vijeya3):

First you need to make the denominators of the left hand side equal..do u knw how to do that?

OpenStudy (radar):

The steps used, depends on the method the student will take to isolate the unknown variable "w" on the left side of the equal sign using similar algebraic operations on both sides of the equal sign. Algebra rules.

OpenStudy (radar):

For example my first step would be to add 4 to both sides of the equation. Another student my decide to multiply by 5 both sides of the equation. Each method is a step in a series of steps to get w by itself on left side and a value on the fright side. Using the rule what you do to one side, you must do to the other in order to maintain equality of each side.

Atsie (atsie):

SO if we add 4 to both sides of the equation.... it'd be 4+3 and 4+5 right?

OpenStudy (radar):

It would look like this:|dw:1455294012915:dw|
