heres a few notes i have


• Shay’s Rebellion is a series of protests that went on in 1786-1787.

• American farmers protested against the state and enforcement in the surrounding area tax for the tax collection and judgments for debt.

• Massachusetts was the most serious as they had economic depression and bad harvests and high taxes making it hard to keep their farms

• The name “Shay’s Rebellion” was named after the symbolic leader of Massachusetts Daniel Shay.

• Merchants, Lawyers, and supporters of the State Government all got harassed by the rebels in 1786 as well as the rebels attempted to capture the Federal Arsenal.

• In 1787 winter the rebels where crushed in several engagements by Benjamin Lincoln

• Shay’s Rebellion greatly alarmed the politicians but never severely concerned the united states
