Mathematics 7 Online
OpenStudy (litzyceron):

Sara and three of her friends use an Internet mapping application to map the location of each of their houses. Sara’s house is located at (–2, –5), Nate’s house is located at (–2, 2), Michelle’s house is located at (4, –5), and Joshua’s house is located at (x, y). (c) Joshua wants to know how far he would have to ride his bike on a trip from his house to Nate’s then to Sarah’s, then to Michelle’s, and finally back home. Use the appropriate mathematical formula to determine the distance in coordinate units that Joshua would have to ride. Show your work. (d) Joshua knows that 1 unit

will give a medal and be fan

OpenStudy (litzyceron):

@jdoe0001

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

so hmm obviously you'd need to use the "distance" formula but we dunno Joshua's location though, we konw he's at x,y

OpenStudy (litzyceron):

ok

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

unless the answer is expecred in x,y terms which we dunno

OpenStudy (litzyceron):

ok

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

sooooo can you post a quick screenshot of the material?

OpenStudy (litzyceron):

will there is no material

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well, obviously there is :) I mean, you got that from "somewheres"

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

but with joshua's location just being x,y, we're kinda in the lurch

OpenStudy (litzyceron):

will my homework has no pic of anything

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well, we seem to missing info though

OpenStudy (litzyceron):

i am sure

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well... hmmm let's us assume is in x,y terms check your book for the distance formula what's the distance from Nate to Sarah?

OpenStudy (litzyceron):

4,2

OpenStudy (litzyceron):

??

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

4.2? how hmm have you checked your distance formula in your book?

OpenStudy (litzyceron):

i don't have on :/
