What made World War II a total war
World War 2 started first when Hitler invaded Poland from the west and France and Britain declared war on Germany 2 days laters. Adolf Hitler caused the War because he wanted to exterminate the Jews. He thought that the Jews were a very low class level, so low that he thought they shouldn't even exist. Japan and Italy was Adolf Hitler's main allies. His enemies were France and England. The U.S. was dragged in because Japan had attacked pearl harbor in Hawaii, so the U.S. teamed with France and England to take down Hitler. The war ended in 1945 by the atomic attacks of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. (Japan surrendered which took out most of Hitler's military. @kenyabella97
@kenyabella97 Total war means that each side wages war with whatever means possible, for example, harming the civilians on the enemy side to decrease their morale. In WWII, an example of this would be the Allies bombing German civilians. Hope this helps and don't forget to medal :)
