the equation for surface area of square base pyramid
Area of base + 0.5perimeter x slant length
area of base is area of a triangle which is length x width
perimeter is the perimeter of the square which is 4xSide length
and since you are given the height and the side length you can form a right angled triangle to work out the hypotenuse which gives slant length
then sub into the equation
Area of base + 0.5perimeter x slant length
