OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Have the three main parts: An Introduction, Body, and Conclusion Use facts. Don't say things like "I believe" and "I think". That defeats the fact. If you have a quote or fact from a site, site the source Don't use contractions like I am now

Have a strong thesis statement. Make sure you do your citations properly. Try to do your own research in the form of a survey. And find information from reliable sources. Please do not use wikipedia as it is an ever changing informative site

OpenStudy (batmano3):

evidence Evidence, is key and detail, make sure your thesis is strong and your research is the steroid to the masterpiece you are creating

OpenStudy (abbiegalie):

Stay on topic. Use reliable sources. Have an outline (I promise these help sooo much) if there is a rubric, check it and structure your essay around it. Make sure to keep track of your sources so you can cite them later (using a site like Easybib will make this easy). Use transitions to flow smoothly from one paragraph to the next. Have a thesis statement that makes a presentable argument. Include a topic sentence for each paragraph (this is basically stating the main idea of your paragraph). Analyze your evidence and tell your readers why it is important to your argument. For the conclusion don't introduce any new information but summarize what you have said and then come to a conclusion about the information you have presented.
