Ray and Lynn are getting some of their father’s sheep. Ray is getting 14/21 of the sheep. What fraction of sheep is Lynn getting?Eliminate A) 1 21 B) 3 21 C) 5 21 D) 7 21

zepdrix (zepdrix):

If we assume that Ray and Lynn together are gathering ALL of their father's sheep, then in total they are gathering 21/21 sheep. 21 out of the 21 sheep. So if Ray is getting 14 of those sheep, Then Lynn is getting the remaining sheep, 21-14

zepdrix (zepdrix):

The question says `some` of their father's sheep though, so I'm not sure if we're portioning off `all` of the sheep. The wording is kind of confusing :)
