i think 82 is not correct because sin\(\theta\) can never be greater than 1 Created with RaphaëlReply Using Drawing here AB represents tree and BC represents the shadow and \(\theta\) is the angle of elevation of top of tree so sin\(\theta\) will be=\(\Large \frac{perpendicular}{hypotenuse}\)=\(\Large \frac{AB}{AC}\) find AC using Pythagoras theorem and you already know AB=50 then just substitute these values to get \(sin\theta\).

OpenStudy (ohohaye):

I used Pythagorean Theorem and I got 90.14 as the hypotenuse

imqwerty (imqwerty):

yes correct and now substitute the values of AB and AC to get sin\(\theta\)
