Solve the equation. (Round your answer to four decimal places.) e^4x + 6e^2x - 27 = 0 I understand how factoring it should work by replacing the 'e's but I'm not sure how to do it

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

direct answer or explanation?

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

you here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

direct. i figured out how to do it

OpenStudy (retireed):

I got two different answers, by solving two different ways. By graphing I got x = 0.549306 I trust this more than my math with exponents. By algebra I got x = 0.42288

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thats what i got thank you

OpenStudy (retireed):

x = 0.549306 Checks when plugged into the original equation. 9 + 18 - 27 = 0
