The slope formula is\[\frac{ y_2-y_1 }{ x_2-x_1 }\] In the coordinate (0,3) 0 would be x1 and 3 would be y1. for the coordinate (1,5) 1 would be x2 and 5 would be y2. Now plug that in to get \[\frac{ 5-3 }{ 1-0 }\] After simplifying you should get\[\frac{ 2 }{ 1 }\] This simply equals 2. The slope of the equation is 2.

Now we have \[3=0+b\] Since you cannot subtract zero, you are left with b=3 With the information found, you can now plug it all in to get the final equation. The final equation is y=2x+3
