A bake sale has 12 cookies, 9 pies, 8 cakes, 4 tarts, and 3 cobblers to sell. ~~~~~ 1:3? ~~~~~~ What is the ratio of the total number of baked goods to cookies in simplest form?

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

so add up all of them 12+9+8+4+3 =36 to 12 cookies

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

so its 3:1

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

not 1:3

Add all of the Cookies, Pies, Cakes, Tarts, and Cobblers up and what do you get? :)
