What is the range of altitudes for the top of the troposphere? Apparently I'm supposed to use this website to answer it, but I can't really figure out the answer. http://www.classzone.com/books/earth_science/terc/content/investigations/es1702/es1702page06.cfm?chapter_no=investigation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

" decreasing temperature nearest Earth's surface is called the troposphere" look at where the temperature pattern changes in the graphs

OpenStudy (a1234):

About 12,500 to 20,000 m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alaska looks more like 10000 to me,(click on them to enlarge)

OpenStudy (a1234):

Yes, that's about 10,000 to 22,000 m. I'll just list them individually

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kansas looks closer to 18,000 then 22,000 to me. But reading off little diagrams is guesswork.

OpenStudy (a1234):

Thanks for helping!
