For the first one: Triangle ABC describes the top triangle, ACD the middle one, and AED the bottom one. Those 3 shapes put together make the figure ABCDE. So you add the areas of the separate triangles together to get the total area, which is the area for figure ABCDE.

For the second: Look at the line connecting the triangles in the 3D prism. How long is it? Now look at Net A and B. Which one has the same length connecting its 2 triangles? Carefully find the surface area. Do each shape on the net separately, then add them all up in the end to get your total area. (Net A)(390 square inches)

For the third: Find the area of both triangles seperately. ((7*3)/2 and (6*2)/2) Take the bigger area and subtract the smaller, and you'll have the difference between the two. \[4.5cm ^{2}\]
