Conner and Jana are multiplying (3568)(39610). Conner's Work Jana's Work (3568)(39610) = 35 + 968 + 10 = 314618 (3568)(39610) = 35⋅968⋅10 = 345680 Is either of them correct? Explain your reasoning.

sorry just trying to break the question down
I got 141,328,480 when I did it
they're not using place values correctly
3568 = 3000 + 500 + 60 + 8 39610 = 30000 + 9000 + 600 + 10 + 0
is that the correct way?
well not really, first off, what grade are you in? this will effect how I explain this
8

i'm really not sure where to even start with this problem. They are wrong, that's clear. What they are doing makes no sense and the numbers are senselessly generated. Just say no they're wrong and do some math to show the correct answer.
