Question

So, I'm writing a song. It's lyrically different than others I've written. I thought I'd share and get some feedback. What's the consensus on a "musical" chorus. I'm not even sure if that's considered chorus. Either way, a lyrical chorus is absent and I'm curious to see how it's received. Let me know, thanks.

I love musical choruses and use 'em in a few song, make it stand out though...maybe a really good vocal riff

Yeah, I was thinking of whistling or playing the melodica for the chorus. I'll record a sample and you can let me know what you think.

To be honest, I'm a bit speechless.
Lyrically speaking, this wasn't some type of written work with all this hidden meaning and metaphors woven into itself.
It was plain, it was simple, and it spoke for itself. That was what was most attractive and enriching about it.
I hate to even admit this, but in order for me to be emotionally moved it takes a lot.
In this case, all I did was read some words and felt deeply stirred inside.
Maybe I could relate? Maybe I understood it in a way?
I do not know the specific's of why, but I know that this was something written from your heart that made an impression upon me and maybe even others.
I love the part "there is a power beyond my own"
Matter of fact, for a musical chorus you did a very good job.
Musical chorus's are naturally known as the hook of a song. Like it tends to conclude the theme and meaning of the whole thing by repetition. But you did great.
By far one of the favorites of A LOT of lyric's that I've read on OpenStudy.
There's actual meaning to it. Its not cliche. :)
