PLEASE HELP WILL MEDAL AND FAN

For the first one you have the equations\[x-y=-11\]\[y+7=-2x\] In order to find the y coordinate you need to get x alone on the top equation by adding y to both sides to get\[x=-11+y\]\[y+7=-2x\] Now you need to substitute the top equation in for x in the second equation to get\[y+7=-2(-11+y)\] Now you need to simplify the right side of the = sign\[y+7=22-2y\] Next you need to move all the y's to one side. I'll move them to the left side to get\[3y+7=22\] Then the 7 needs to be subtracted from both sides to get\[3y=15\] Now you need to divide both sides by 3 to get y alone\[\frac{ 3y }{ 3 }=\frac{ 15 }{ 3 }\] After dividing you should get \[y=5\]
For the second one yo have the equations\[y=2x+14\]\[-4x-y=4\] First lets find the x value by substituting the top equation for y in the bottom equation\[-4x-2x+14=4\] Now you need to combine like terms to get\[-6x+14=4\] Then you need to -14 on both sides to get the -6x alone to get\[-6x=-10\] Now you need to divide by -6 to get x alone\[\frac{ -6x }{ -6 }=\frac{ -10 }{ -6 }\rightarrow x=\frac{ 5 }{ 3 }\] Then you need to plug in what you got for x into the top equation to get\[y=2(\frac{ 5 }{ 3 })+14\] Next you need to multiply the 2 and the fraction\[y=\frac{ 10 }{ 3 }+14\]After adding you should get\[y=17\frac{ 1 }{ 3 }\]
thank you!!
