KjSaif (kjsaif):

How will adding the value 8 affect the mean and median of the data set 4, 6, 8, 10, 12? A. The mean and median will increase by the same amount. B. The median will increase more than the mean. C. The median will stay the same, but the mean will increase. D. The mean and median will both stay the same. @Qwertty123 @scoobydo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you find the mean? And to do that you add up all of the numbers and divide that answer by how many numbers there are. And once you find the mean you can find the answer.

KjSaif (kjsaif):

@rarecigs

OpenStudy (qwertty123):

mean = sum of all values / number of values median = the middle value or the two middle values/2

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

Right now we have an Odd number of numbers in that set. So we find the middle one. What is the middle one, @KJSaif?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well we know that mean is when you add all the numbers in the set then divide by the amount of numbers in the set. and median is the number in the middle.

KjSaif (kjsaif):

8
