I came to this site when I was home schooled. I didn't have access to help other than through Google, and as is known, sometimes Googling something doesn't always give the help you need. My parents were around at night but they didn't always understand the subject, and during the day I was alone to fend for myself. Sometimes you need an explanation, sometimes you need a kind and patient helper, and sometimes you need a friend who can take the time to give you the help you need.

OpenStudy provides all of this. It is a way where not only can you get help when you don't understand but you can get help that, without OpenStudy, wouldn't be possible without forking out the money for a tutor. It's a place where you have professors, peers, and students all ready and willing to help any way they can.

Not only has OpenStudy helped me, but its shown me that I can help others with the knowledge I have.

I've had the honor of serving as a user, an ambassador, and an intern (short as it was). Each helped me grow as a helper. You wouldn't think that a website could help you grow but it has. Its given me the experience teaching to know how people learn.

It's an honor to be apart of this site and to be able help users who, like me, couldn't get help otherwise. Without OpenStudy there may be no other outlet to help a person with a class when there's nobody around.
